| i hired about 2000 mercenaries, and now it tells me "can't hire this soldiers" when i want to train more. i have plenty of money and food available. why can't i train more? |

You also need to have money per turn available to have them.
Each mercenary has a fee that is taken each turn that you have him in your army.
