I will start work on religion
post here any ideas you have
- It will be like health but only with 4 structures
- and you will have faith points and you will gain or lose faith points every turn
- if you have 75% religion you will not lose faith points but gain faith points
- you can make sacrifaces in goods or people to gain faith points
- if you have low faith points gods will curse you
- if you have high faith points you will receive blessings |

Maybe you could make some diffrent gods, A god of food, a god of offence and a god of defence. You can make a god of evrything in the game, and then in the Religion you can have the ability to make a temple for each god.. Then (like in the healt buildings) there can be an amount of percent for each temple, depending on how many percents u got the more helpfull the gods will be.. EXAMPLE:
Ares the war god
Temple: 75%
Working: 50 prayers
Ares is very pleased with you and will raise your offence by 5%
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Felia the health god
Temple: 10%
Working: 2 prayers
Felia seems to be disapointed and your health has decreased by 3%

i was not sure if to make something global or to make different gods but now i decided.
there will be different gods(i will use greek gods)
and it will be the same like i said in my previous post but those faith points will be different for every god |

Hmm... Here I will like something else, greek gods is inapropriate for the game. An Orc praing to Afrodita , he will pray the entire life and that would be for nothing
I will like something related to character class the hero is. I don't have in mind exactly what, but i will think about it. Maybe an elf to have nature shrines to build whitch it will give him bonuses to different atributes, an Undead to have death shrines and so on. This will make the game more diversified, u cannot build death shrines as an elf.
I will come back with details, others could think about this too.
PS: maybe only for human race to have gods like in greek mithology, but still, you may not name them, and only build a sun altar, an earth altar, alcohol shrine (i mean brew or ale) -> this one would be great for dwarfs too

What u do not agree, i don't understand? You said that there will be gods for each race, that's what i said and for each god u have to build a shrine/altar/temple or whatever which will be different for each race.
Hai s-o zic pe romana poate nu ma fac prea bine inteles. Pentru o rasa de exemplu am 4 cladiri la religion cum zicea parca bashar - ok, pana aici. Pot sa fac doar una si sa-mi pun oameni numa la ea sa se roage, cu alte cuvinte aleg o religie monoteista sau pot face pana la 4 si sa fiu politeist.
Sa zicem pentru dwarf am 4 zei si imi fac templu/altar doar la unu, sa-i zicem Betzivanu' (bineinteles n-o sa fie numele asta ), si imi pun oameni sa-l venereze pe asta la maxim si o sa am un bonus de berzerk sa zicem care imi da +15% atac si -5% defence. Bine pot sa am si zeu Mesteru' care da +5% atac si +10% defence si astfel anulez minusu care mi-l da celalat zeu la def si per total am plus.
Era doar o idee ... nu am inteles cu ce n-ai fost de acord? Poate cu faptul ca am zis eu ca zeii sa nu fie dupa mitologia greceasca? Mi se pare normal ca elfii de exemplu sa nu se roage la Ares sau Zeus sau Atlas sau mai stiu io ce. |

yes u have nice ideas
i understand that is much more realistic to be different gods because evrybody has it's own religion
but we better finish how we started and then see if those 4 gods will have different names and different bonuses for each rase
i thought about greek gods because i needed:
- a god of war
- a god for forge and other crafted things
- a god for health
- a god for agriculture
of course there are roman gods or even better the egyptian gods or we can invent those 4 gods
i don't think it is good to make this game harder by putting different gods for each race(it is a webbased game)
if it was a RTS or TBS it was anothe thing
but know that i read one more time you post maybe it can be a fifth god
and that god to be unique for each rase
And onoring that god to upset the others
But the bonuses offered by that god to be extreme |

maybe if you worshipa god, he can protect you from other gods |

1. deci vor fi 4 tipuri cladiri de religie.
ps1 : NU cred ca-i bine sa ai posibiliatea sa faci max. puncte rugandu-te{construind} doar un tip de cladire [poate n-am inteles io bine ce spune bele], sigur vei alege cladirea ce-ti ofera maximum de puncte.
ps2. : pt fiecare Zeu va trebui sa construiesc fiecare tip cladire ?{[e de fapt o nelamurire de-a mea]}
2. vor fi 4 zei si probabil unul specific.
Io propun sa existe un master zeu{poate fi chiar cel specific} pt care sa nu ai posibilitatea de a construi cladiri. El fiind de fapt o medie a satisfactiei celorlalti zei. Si de el sa depinda evaluarea religiei si tot ceea ce se intampla la general in regat si are legatura cu religia. Nesatisfacerea unui zeu sa aiba repercursiuni doar asupra domeniul pe care-l stapaneste.
ex: daca zeul agriculturii nu e satisfacut atunci sa-mi dispara din food sau sa pierd ferme... in schimb daca si masterzeu e suparat atunci pe langa probleme in agricultura sa am probleme si la armata{zic si io}. Un mic GoodAttack n-ar stica.
3. pe undeva scria de sacritificii.
E ciudat sa fac sacrificii. Ar trebui sa am undeva un monstru capturat, sau un animal mai acatarii.... nu cred ca cineva isi ia locuitori din oras si-i da pe apa sambetei ... Ar trebui sa existe sclavi dar asta ar complica rau lucrurile.
De fapt cred ca mai indicat ar fi sa existe festivale in care sa cinstesc un zeu. si in functie de marirea festivalului sa primesc faithpoint.
problema e ca s-ar ajunge valori mari ale faith point {tot adun faithpoint adus de festival}.
PROPUNERE: sa nu poti satisface din cladiri decat x[70]% din necesitatea unui zeu. restul sa-l faci din festivale{mari, mici, mijlocii}. Sa poti trece de 100% iar binecuvatarile sa le iei doar daca zeul respectiv are peste y[85- mijlocul intervalului]% satisfactie. Iar daca un zeu are 110% satisfactie sa supere alti zei.
Apoi la fiecare turn as scadea 0.1{aici ar fi 0.2 daca zeul asta e suparat} puncte faith pt fiecare zeu atata timp cat FaithPoint_Total_zeu > Faith_cladiri{adica sa nu scada sub punctele produse de cladire dar sa poate ajunge sub 70% daca atat rezulta din cladiri.}.
Am pus 70% maxim puncte aduse de cladiri pentru ca am inteles ca e limita sub care risti sa benefiezi de ceva blesteme, sa pot fi protejat de blestemele zeilor din cladiri, dar doar atat. Daca vreau mai mult festivale.
Si mai am una. Sa existe un "Super festival" in care sa fie onorati toti zeii in acelasi timp dar care sa necesite pe langa resursele normale una pe care n-o pot produce [de exemplu : vin sau bere] dar pe care o pot cumpara. . |

1. there will be four types of buildings each for every god(and maybe 5 depending on how we decide that master god to be)
- faith points will be independent and each god will have his faith points and curses or blessing will be given by that god who is happy or angry and will be according to his domain
ps1:well now by having only one type of building you will only have faith points only to that god so automaticaly all the others will be angry
2.About that special god(or master god)
dorazdu said that master god to be a sum of all satisfaction of the 4 gods and how religion works to be decided by this
but now(just thinking and any arguments pro or against are welcomed)
- everybody problably will want to have max faith points on all 4 gods and automatically the master god will be satisfied(no diversity)
- from what i see or no special god at all or somthing special like having that master god to upset the others but will give permanent superbonuses(curses from those 4 gods will come but those superbonuses to be extreme and you will accept those curses because of that bonus)
- faith points(i want make evryting clear) will be separate for each god
you can have max health points one one god and 0 on another
- maybe somthing global is good like that master god(more argument needed)
3. yes only sacrifices isn't so good, so some festivals that will cost you money, food, wood, stone to increase the faith to that god is very nice
but still sacrifices will better increase you faith
It is good that only having max amount of buildings will just cover you of not receving curses and if want blessings too you will need festivals or sacrifices to increase faith points |

sorry for .... mistake ....
if one god is unhappy[faithpoint_godx<70] you will not have blessing from other gods, and only curses can be 2 or 3 in the same time.{you can have basic, adv, expert religion => 3,2,1 curses in the same turn.}
the number of curses will be : rand(0,min(god_unhappy,research_religion));
if you have all 4 gods satified {theMasterGod will be satisfied to} you will get one bonus{not 5}.
ex:
God1{FP1[faithpoint]}=> blessing1;
God2{FP2}=> blessing2;
God3{FP3}=> blessing3;
God4{FP4}=> blessing4;
MasterGod{FP_MG} => blessingMG;
max(rand(FP1,Fp2,Fp3,FP4),FP_MG); i suppose the result is FP3 => blessing3{you will lose x faithpoint in that moment for God3.};
PS1: i used rand() because FP_MG will never be maxim, buit can be > FPx
PS2: this will work only for blessings.
PS3: if one god curse me => get x faith point.
And i propose this : you will lose 0.1 faithpoint/turn/god.
{0.2 if that god is upset because one god have 110% satisfaction - probable this case is infrequent.}.
This decreses of faithpoint is valid only if
curent_faithpoint_god1 > faithpoint_buildings_god1
[this faithpoint can be less curses limit if you don`t have enough buildings].
PS: unhappy and upset are different.
a) a god is upset when other god is > 110% satisfied.
b) a god is unhappy when his satisfaction is < 70%
I propose to exists the 5-th god and this god to be an average of other gods faithpoint because you don`t have a ComerceGod, or PeopleGood{people mood can be modified - if you implement mood}. So this God will bless or curse in all other remaining domains.

I have a question? If you do not build religion buildings or do not alocate ppl to pray at that buildings, you will have curses all the time?
Maybe i'm an atheist (sau cum s-o fi scriind ateu ). And how this curses will be, i mean from the start, or after you build something at religion, or after certain level, lets say level 10 or so? |
