i ve gathered a small figting force and i guess i have to attack kingdoms in order to get some experience but when i do i always lose tough the opposite has no units:

Even if the enemy has no army, his population (unnarmed peasants) count towards his defense.
If he has a large population he can easily have more defense than your army's offense. |
