The bonus of -50% weapon price is not reflected in weapons prices.
I mean before (year of the Cat), the price of a War sword was 1847 gp and now is the same.
So, the question, where is the bonus?

reduction bonus of a building or weapon can not be greater than 100.

So lets say you've got Hero skill Forge=80 and year reduction bonus of -50%.

The reduction bonus will be min(80+50,100)=100%.
If you have forge 100 than The Year of the Ant bonus is useless because 100+50 is greater than 100 and so it will be rounded to 100.



Here is the actual formula used in the game:
$reduction_coefficent=0.20+0.80*(1-min($hero->forge+$year_bonus+$title_bonus, 100)/100)-$religion_bonus/100;

$weapon_price=$base_price*$reduction_coefficent;


Lets say you've got forge 100 and it is year of the Ant for a weapon that costs 1000
$reduction_coefficent=0.20+0.80*(1-min(100+50+0,100)/100)-0=
=0.20+0.80*(1-100/100)=
=0.20+0.80*0=
=0.20
$weapon_price=1000*0.20=200gp


Same algorithm applies to buildings too.
