I had a pike training lvl 60 research queue then pike training lvl 60. Afterwards, I checked my research and it shows pike training lvl 61 which requires 1.2b research points (same as level 60). Note, I am researching learning research so once I am done that I can see what happens. |

hmm.
i will simulate this to see what happens.
My guess is that even if your scientists will work on level 61, there will just work in vain, after they finish their work, the research will still be level 60 with bonuses from level 60 |

What if instead it made me reset to level 1 or whatever level 1.2b research xp is. |

I simulated and after your scientists will work on the level 61 research, the research completes but to level 60 and stays at level 60 with bonuses and everything from level 60.
I also checked the code and there is a hardcoded limit when you upgrade a research not to be able to get passed max_level of that research no matter what future bug may be discovered.
In conclusion you better just cancel that research cause is a waste of your scientists.
I'll start work on fixing this bug |
