If we start the game with a 60% in the monster scout. And one level of monster scout research gives +2%. Why we have to research this to level 50 and not only to level 20??
60% + 50x2%= 160%

Probably your kingdon income is too low, to you observe a big difference between your start money and food to the next login.
Look at your food level (food per turn) and money per turn.
